About Us
Lahore Grammar School (LGS) was established in January 1979 in Lahore by a group of women with a commitment to provide quality education and twith the aim of providing an alternative to the existing education facilities available in the country. The initial focus of LGS was the promotion of female education. This was followed by the opening of the boys' branch in 1992. LGS offers Matric/O and A level to both girls and boys. The School now has several branches in the city of Lahore as well as Multan, Faisalabad, Karachi, Gujranwala, Quetta, Sialkot, Wah and Peshawar and is considering opening branches in the other major cities of the country. Girls colleges in Lahore offer Arts, Science. Mathematics and Computer Science.
In April 1997, Lahore Grammar School started another network called Landmark Project in Lahore and other cities to cater to the needs of middle income group.
The LGS Board of Directors has now extended its educational network known as the Lahore Grammar School Foundation (LGSF), to children from the lower income group.

Mission Statement
The Lahore Grammar School strongly believes that the effects of good mainstream education reach all sections of society. Thus, a series of Lahore Grammar School Foundation (LGSF) schools have been established in different parts of Lahore and later elsewhere to cater to the needs of the children of areas that are often marginalized in overall plans of education outreach.

Management
The Management of LGSF rests with the Board of Directors. The Borad meet regularly and has an Academic Council from amongst it memebers to propose, devise, implement and supervise the academic and educational policies relating to the school system.
Admission
- All Students seeking for admission at a branch of LGSF must register in advance.
- Admission is based upon merit, availability of seats and sibling preference.
Fee Deposit/withdrawal & Clearance Certificate
- The Payment of all fee should be made through a specified bank.
- On withdrawal of a child, fee must be deposited in full for refund of security deposit.
- Clearance certificate will be issued only after the settlement of all dues.
Staff Training
At LGSF, we believe in the continued improvment of teaching methodologies and hence, we encourage the personal growth of our teaching faculty by having periodic workshops, seminars and in-service training programs.
Academics
LGsf strives to maintain high academic standards by providing regular and systematic work, co-curricular activities and close liaison between teachers and pupils. The course of study are so arranged that a student can take excel at the Secondary School Certificate (Matriculation).
Islamic Teachings
Teaching of Islamiat receives special attention. Along with the study of Quran-e-Karim, we also teach Arakan-e-Khamsa, performance of Namaz and other essential rules leading to the study of Islamic History and religious festivals. An earnest effort is made to create a firm belief in Allah and follow the sayings of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).
Computer Lab and other Laboratories
To make the process of learning easy and interesting, the school's four laboratories Physics , Chemistry, Biology and Computer Lab are equipped with the latest equipment and software.
Library
The school library has an ever growing number of books pertaining to different disciplines of knowledge. These books cater to the needs of the staff and students. Books are issued to the students for a couple of weeks. Library periods are earmarked in the timetable to encourage the students to benefit from the given library facilities.
Attendance & Leave
All studnts are expected to be regular and punctual. A student must apply for leave before absenting one's self from school. In case og illness, a medical certificate must be submitted.
Identity Cards
- To Ensure your child's security, ID cards to all newly admitted students will be issued.
- If an ID card is misplaced, a duplicate ID card will be issued on a written application by parents
- The School Management will not be responsible for the child's security if parents keep duplicate ID cards
Uniform
- Uniform is compulsory for children of Classes 1 to Matric.
- Children of Pre-school are not required to wear uniform.
- High heeled shoes are not allowed.
- Incorrect pattern or style of the school uniform is not allowed.
Extra Curricular Activities
- Everyday, some time is devoyted to Physical Training under a qualified Physical Instructor.
- Field trips are organized on a regular basis in order to inculate both a spirit of fun and learning.
- Theme Days, research work and project work are also important part of our curriculum, as we believe that they help the children gain a better understanding of lessons that are taught.
Tutorials & Remedial
Remedial work is suggested to students by the school, as and when the need arises. Private tuitions and similar help from outside is discouraged since it adds to the confusion and stress on the child.
Examinations
- At the end of each term, Examination are held and its result and reports are sento to the parents.
- Tests are held on a regular basis to enable teacher to assess the progress of the students.
- Up to prep class, student's promotions are based on class performance., class tests and monthly assessments.
- Formal examinations are introduced from class one.
Parent Teacher Conference
- A formal Parent / Teacher conference is held twice a year. All problems and queries regarding students maybe discussed during the conference. Parents may also meet teachers after school on designated days.
- To see the Principal, appointment must be sought from the school office.
Discipline/General Rules
- Disfiguring or damaging the school property.
- Lending or borrowing money
- Betting, Gambling and lotteries.
- Smoking, Intoxicants, Carrying explosives, knives or weapons of any sort.
- Bringing cassette, cassette players or radio and mobile phones of any sort to the school.
Following are strictly prohibited / forbidden:
Transfers
- Inter-branch transfer within the same city can only be approved by the concerned Director.
- Inter-city transfers will be accommodated according to the seats available in the branches.
- No admission / registration / security chargers will be charged.
Matriculation
Our schools have always produced excellent result in matric, our students always achieve high grades in BISE (Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education). Our schools have a faculty of highly qualified teachers who are subject specialist at matriculation level, possessing advanced degrees, extensive teaching experience and a passion for cultivating a dynamic lerning environment, ensuring academic excellence for every student.
